First post in a new series: Journey

Pause for a moment and think about trips you've taken recently, or trips taken by people you know. I’m thinking about these:

Dave and I travelled to San Francisco to see a Mary Cassatt art exhibition. A friend of mine took a long drive and ferry voyage to attend a funeral in Campbell River, halfway up Vancouver Island in Canada. One time, he had flown somewhere tropical – the Caribbean? Hawaii? – and he saw a black sand beach. He showed...

Receptivity and offering: The journey

What Happens When God Writes Back. This dialog between Roedel and God reminded me how often I focus on results rather than the journey, and how deeply I want the results to be good. Right now.

As I remember Jesus' resurrection and as I try to live in in the joy that he is alive and real and with me, I want to offer to Jesus my willingness to look for his hand in the journey of my life. I...
